  1. Processed Meat

  1. Fried foods & cancer

When high starch foods are prepared at high temperatures, a compound named acrylamide is formed during frying, baking, roasting, and toasting fried potato products, like chips and fries. Acrylamide has been found to be carcinogenic in studies done on rats and it is probably carcinogenic to humans.

Eating a lot of fried food can cause type 2 diabetes and obesity which can cause oxidative stress and inflammation, further increasing cancer risk.

  1. Dairy

There is some evidence linking dairy and prostate candy. Dairy products include milk, cheese and yogurt.

Consuming dairy increases levels of an insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) which is associated with risk of prostate cancer.

  1. Sugar and refined carbohydrates

Foods high in sugar and carbohydrates indirectly increase the risk for cancer. Some examples of these foods are sugary beverages, baked food, white pasta, bread, rice and sugary cereals.
